Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter has threatened to withdraw his support for the Jubilee government if the president fails to eliminate corruption in his government.
Speaking at the Eldoret Sports Club during the Kass Marathon, Keter said that President Uhuru Kenyatta has done little in the fight against corruption.
"Am really ashamed with the Jubilee government that i also belong to for the increased corruption that has ben witnessed making the lives of our electorate unbearable due increased cost of living," he said.
He said the Jubilee government was the most corrupt since Kenya's independence and if nothing was done promptly it would run bankrupt.
"If President Uhuru Kenyatta will not get serious and skin those involved in corruption he should forget my support. Why should I be part and parcel of a government that has made the lives of Kenyans unbearable through corruption?" he said.
He claims Kenyans are tired of the president's "empty promises of fighting against corruption and they needed results.
"President Kenyatta is applying double standards in the fight against corruption by shielding his close allies who have siphoned money from the public through corruption. He should act with speed before Kenyans show him the door," he said.
