Former Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung’aro has criticized NASA leader Raila Odinga, arguing that his agenda is to force a coalition government.

Speaking in Kilifi on Sunday, Mung’aro claimed that Raila knows he does not have the numbers to beat President Uhuru Kenyatta and wants to force him into a ‘nusu mkate’ government.“We know NASA’s agenda, they are not interested in the fresh presidential election and only want to force a coalition government,” said Mung’aro, as quoted by the Standard.Mung’aro said NASA’s plans will not work, adding that Uhuru will win the repeat presidential election with over five million votes. He said NASA’s calls for the disbandment of IEBC are a clear indication that they are not interested in a fresh election. He asked Kenyans to stand firm and reject the opposition, adding that he will lead Uhuru’s campaigns in the Coast region. The Jubilee politician asked Coast residents to turn up in large numbers and vote for Jubilee, saying it is the only hope they have in terms of development. However, Raila on Sunday rubbished claims that he is plotting for a coalition government with Uhuru stating that he will win the fresh presidential election with over 6 million votes.Uhuru is expected to face off against Raila in the repeat presidential election slated for October 17.The two have already started their campaigns with both exuding confidence of clinching the seat.
