Taita Taveta MP Naomi Shaban has told opposition leaders to forget about forming a coalition government with Jubilee.Shaban said should Raila and Uhuru hold talks it should not be about power sharing.Speaking to journalists at Parliament Buildings on Thursday, Shaban said Uhuru cannot share power with Raila because he (Uhuru) was elected by a majority of Kenyans in the repeat poll that the opposition withdrew from.“I support the calls for dialogue but it should not be about power sharing or coalition government,” said Shaban. The MP also hit out at the National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK) for advocating for a coalition government. She said NCCK’s proposal to expand the executive and establish a Prime Minister (PM) position is malicious. The Jubilee legislator said NASA has no option but to accept losing in the October 26 repeat poll. She said Raila’s withdrawal from the repeat poll backfired on him adding that the former Prime Minister should now retire from active politics. The MP further warned NASA leaders against inciting their supporters to violence, adding that the National Resistance Movement (NRM) should not be used to cause anxiety, fear, and tension in the country.“The country has suffered so much and must be allowed to move on,” she said.A section of Jubilee politicians is piling pressure on Raila to concede defeat and let the country move on.
