Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar has criticised Governor Hassan Joho over his interest to vie for presidency in 2022.
Omar claimed that the governor had failed to govern the little county funds that he had been allocated, thus can not purport to lead the country.
Speaking in his Kizingo office on Tuesday evening after being received at the Mombasa Airport by a delegation of Wiper supporters, Omar exuded confidence of unseating the governor in the 2017 polls.
“Some people should just forget about the presidency as their political career ends in 2017 where they will face defeat as early as 8 am in the morning,” said the senator.
Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho publicly announced his bid to vie for presidency in 2022, with a section of Coastal leaders supporting the bid saying it was time for a leader from the Coast to take over the country's leadership.
