Speaking during a morning show on Radio Mayienga FM, Midiwo said MPs Oburu Oginga (Nominated) and Opiyo Wandayi (Ugunja) have been hoodwinking Rasanga that he will benefit from the endorsement of the former Prime Minister but it is not going to be the case.

According to the National Assembly deputy minority leader, ODM leaders are fighting for free and fair nominations in order to avoid cases of chaos that have cost him in the past.

"Let Rasanga forget the notion that Raila will lift up his hands for endorsement this time,” Midiwo said, as quoted by The Star.

Midiwo also said that Raila has affirmed that he will not endorse any candidate before the next general election but instead, the aspirants have to battle it out for tickets.

Midiwo further said the gospel of endorsement has been hampering Raila’s quest for the Presidency.

"Careless utterances will scare potential voters," he added.

Midiwo’s remarks come at a time when Raila and Amani National Coalition (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi are working on a formula to dethrone President Uhuru Kenyatta in August.
