Speaking on Sunday at Abakore, Wajir South constituency, Abdullahi said that there is no way Jubilee will win in his county when it does not have support from the residents.
“Our opponents [Jubilee aspirants] are going round telling the people that we will win the votes but they will have the seats. This is a clear message that they are intent on rigging. We will not allow this,” he said, as quoted by Star.
The incumbent county boss also questioned the posting of Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) officials in the area citing the case of returning officer John Gitau to Eldas constituency.
According to the lawmaker the presiding officer is likely to compromise with the exercise.
“We have tried to raise some of the issues and decisions that we thought would compromise the exercise, but they have refused to address our complaints. We think this guy is serving Jubilee interests,” he said.
County returning officer Patrick Gatuma has, however, dismissed the claims of the governor terming them as baseless and driven by jittery.
