Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula has dismissed claims that Jubilee is making forays into Western Kenya region which is largely perceived as an opposition stronghold.
Speaking on Monday during a press briefing, the Ford Kenya Party leader maintained that the region was firmly in support of Opposition coalition NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga, exuding confidence that the residents would overwhelmingly vote for the former premier during the forthcoming polls.
"It was also a true testimony to the Jubilee team that no matter how many trips Uhuru and Ruto have made and will make in Western, they will not get any votes as our people are fully in NASA; and [they] can't wait to send Jubilee home for having shown Kenyans how not to rule a country," the lawmaker said in reference to NASA's recent tour of Western Kenya.
Jubilee has tasked Bungoma governor Ken Lusaka, Water Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa and a host of other legislators to deliver the Luhya vote.
