Musalia Mudavadi has dismissed claims that Western region has shifted her political allegiance to Jubilee following forays made by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto have made numerous trips to the region as voting hunting intensifies ahead of August elections.

But on Thursday, the former Vice President said opposition team would reap immensely from the region given a raw deal by Kenyatta’s government.

“This is a NASA belt and whoever thinks that Jubilee will get anything is only living in the past. We are very keen and our votes shall remain intact,” he said.

“Jubilee is just chasing wind in Western. They even know that we shall beat them hands down in their own strongholds,” Mudavadi said.

In 2013, NASA leader Raila Odinga emerged on top in the vote reach region and was closely followed by Mudavadi with Uhuru Kenyatta coming a distant third.

And the NASA team is set to visit Bungoma on Friday, Vihiga on Saturday before completing a four days tour at Busia on Sunday.
