Matheri had toured the area to visit his uncle Peter Matheri.

This being a sign of the community not approving his release and not ready to adopt him back as one of them. His uncle too has admitted the fact that convincing the people that he has changed will be an uphill task.

Matheri came to the limelight after being arrested and admitting that he killed several people and even drained their blood.

But he says he is now a changed man and is even saved. He said he got saved while behind the bars and is now ready to spread the gospel of God.

He was released on Friday after four years in prison due to lack of evidence.

The attack left Matheri with injuries on the head and several other parts of the body.

According to Dr Joseph Mburu he is recovering well.
