Nyachae said it was not only Obure who is to blame for the mess that is attributed to Ongwae's administration, but the electorate from the County should also share the blame for having cast their votes for Ongwae as their Governor.

Speaking on Monday afternoon at Nyamasankwa village of Bassi Chache Ward in Bobasi Constituency during the burial of the late Dorcas Matoke, the former CIC boss challenged the electorate from the County not to repeat the mistake and instead replace Ongwae with Obure whom he said had learned his lesson.

"As much as Kisii County electorate point an accusing finger at Mzee Obure for having fronted and campaigned for Ongwae as Governor in 2013 polls, they also have their own share of blame for having directly mandated Ongwae to be their Governor by their votes," stated Nyachae.

Nyachae who was previously touted as Ongwae's competitor in the forthcoming polls has changed tact and instead declared interest for Kisii County senate seat as he backs Obure to battle it out with Ongwae.
