A Form Four student is recuperating at the Naivasha Sub-county hospital following a failed suicide attempt after she had a dispute with her boyfriend.
The 18-year old is alleged to have taken a pesticide in their home following the quarrel with the boyfriend whose identity has not been disclosed.
“The parents were attracted by screams from the house and on checking, found her foaming and vomiting before rushing her to hospital,” an eye witness was quoted by the Star.
According to the hospital superintendent Joseph Mburu, the girl's condition was at first serious but has been stabilised.
“Her condition was very serious when she was brought in over the weekend. We have managed to stabilise her but but she remains in a delicate state,” said Mburu.
The cause of the fight between the two has not yet been established.
