The Opposition leaders led by the county ODM spokesman Hilton Abiola said since Nakuru county is a cosmopolitan region, it is important for Kinyanjui to form an inclusive government to benefit all residents.

"The new governor should should live up to his campaign promise and form an inclusive government," said Abiola.

Nakuru county is perceived to be a Jubilee stronghold since the county residents overwhelmingly voted for president Uhuru Kenyatta of Jubilee.

Jubilee party contestants won most of the seats in the county.
