A KCSE candidate in Machakos county has been arrested for being in possession of 28 rolls of bhang.
Kathiani Boys High School principal Nicholas Nyaga said the suspect was seen sneaking out of school on Sunday by students who reported to him.
"The suspect was spotted sneaking out of school by his colleagues who alerted me," said Nyaga.
He said the school security team laid a trap on him and arrested him when he was coming back to the school through the fence.
"I directed security team in the school compound to be alert. The boy was arrested by the school security and other staff as he sneaked back to school through the fence at around 5 pm," he added.
The principal warned other students against engaging in illegal activities as the exams are ongoing.
"I urge students to concentrate in their exams and not involving themselves in illegal activities which will affect their exams," he said.
