The body of an 18-year-old teenage boy from Kawauni area in Kangundo sub-county in Machakos county was found dangling from his room on Saturday morning.
An incident that was confirmed by Kawauni sub-location subchief Januaries Mwanza who said that the reason behind the form four candidate choosing to take his life has not been known.
The dead body was discovered in the boys room when one of the relatives went to wake him up for breakfast.
Mwanza advised parents to be close to their children mostly teenagers in order to help them in times of problems.
"Teenagers go through many things and parents should be there to guide them by creating a good atmosphere between them and their kids so that they can confide in them when facing trouble," reckoned Mwanza.
The body was taken to Kangundo level five hospital mortuary.
