Baringo County Governor Benjamin Cheboi has said legislators should come up with laws which regulate demonstrations in the country.
He was speaking at a fundraiser in Baringo County saying the lawmakers should consider introducing a bill which will govern and regulate street protests.
“Laws should be implemented that will curb and restrict hooliganism whenever there are demonstrations,” he said.
“I urge members of parliament to move such a motion on the floor of the house to prevent future lawlessness, he added.
He called upon the president to bring sanity in the country.
“The demos infringe freedom and the right to life and the president must take action so that the country does not fall into anarchy,” he said.
Member of Parliament Baringo North William Cheptumo who was present added that IEBC will only be reformed using the constitution.
