The exercise, which will take place at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development, is set to be officially launched by Education CS Fred Matiang'i.

Other issues set to be tackled by Matiang’I include giving a clear line on the implementation of the free day secondary school education.

Other education stakeholders including the county directors of education, principals of all national schools, secondary school heads association officials, and key education officials under State agencies are expected to attend.

The CS, during the release of the KCPE results last week, said all the candidates with over 400 marks will join national schools, and will get the first priority in selection.

This year’s performance was much improved compared to last year, with many students scoring over 400 marks.

Matiangi also indicated that there was no single case of malpractice detected during the 2017 examinations, meaning that all the candidates will receive their results.

The results were released 19 days after the last paper, with the new machines helping in marking of the papers within a short period of time.
