Veteran Gusii politician Simeon Nyachae has called upon all the politicians from the region to form a political block in order to have a better bargaining power that will see them development in the region.
Speaking at a burial of former civic leader David Onkware on Sunday, Nyachae said the area for some time has remained stagnant and there is a need for them to ensure they get a unifying factor that will bring leaders together.
“The region stands to be the most developed one as we all know we have a good track record when it comes to government relations and there is a need to ensure we position ourselves in the government,” he added.
Nyachae added that it’s not the time for the leaders to be divided for personal gains but focus in uniting for the benefit of the community which is important.
“For a long time we have been divided but now we are seeking ways to enhance cohesion which should begin with the council of elders,” he added.
Nyachae is well known from the regions having a strong background in administration.
