Momanyi said nothing is going to stop them from forming a strong political party which they will use to seek various elective posts in 2022 and negotiate for the national cake.

"I wish to tell critics such as Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi that he should not ignore us because we are taking Gusii region by storm.

We are tired following other people vying for political seats on their formed parties. It is time as a community we should consider coming up with one strong political party which we will use as a spear," he said.

The Wiper party MP said the current deputy governors from the two gusii counties should forget succeeding their bosses because they lack massive support.

"Nyamira deputy governor Amos Nyaribo and his Kisii County counterpart Joash Maangi should know that residents don't recognize them as the same people who will succeed the current governors.

"The two deputy governors need to know that they must come to people to seek votes and forget a free ride in 2022. They should brace for a humiliating defeat in 2022," he noted.

This comes after Maangi termed the MPs' decision to unite as a waste of time meant to mislead the community.  '
