Former AFC Leopards coach Ivan Minnaert has been fired by Rwandan side Rayon Sports after a series of bad results.
The Belgian returned to Rayon three months ago and guided the team to Caf Confederations Cup after losing Champions League spot to Mamelodi Sundowns.
A recent fallout with a number of players and the recent bad run has seen the Belgian sacked by the club on his second stint as confirmed by the club on its official website.
His two assistants have been suspended. “The head coach of Rayon Sports Ivan Minnaert is no longer the head coach, he has been dismissed due to a poor run of games on top of failing to manage the dressing room,"
"Assistant coaches Jeannot Witakenge and Marcel Lomami have also been suspended until further notice," read the statement.
Rayon is currently 3rd in the Rwandan Premier League table with 45 points.
