Former Tala Councilor Boniface Muisyo who filed a petition at Kangundo court challenging the election of Alex Kamitu as the area Member of County Assembly has asked the court to spearhead the ruling ahead of October presidential elections.Muisyo who was speaking during a youth sensitization campaign on the impact of shunning drug and substance abuse at Tala township grounds was accompanied by Matungulu Member of National Assembly Stephen Mutinda Mule and Tala area chief Mark Mulumba."The Member of County Assembly results were not valid. Kamitu had paid the returning officers in order to be declared the winner. I need justice and I am going to get it. This is unacceptable," said Muisyo.He further claimed that he has evidence that Kamitu bribed the returning officers on duty promising to present it to the Kangundo law court justice who will be carrying out the ruling when it begins.
Muisyo who was the former Councilor of Tala as the Members of County Assembly was known before lost to Kamitu for a second time now and believes that he will win the petition.
The case is scheduled to kick òf on Thursday where the outcome of the petition will determine whether a by election to elect a new Member of County Assembly will be conducted.
