Kitui county governor Malombe's former adviser Charles Kyale has finally extended an olive branch to his long time sworn political enemy the Mwingi central lawmaker Matambu after a series of battles in court.
The case in which the Mp Matambu is charged with squeezing and harming privates of the former Kitui county government official has been dropped as requested by the assaulted himself citing forgiveness as the reason behind his move.
Charles Kyale's request to have the charges against Matambu together with political activist Miltonic Mwendwa Kitute who doubles as the Kitui East legislator was accepted by a local court and the charges deemed dropped immediately.
Speaking before Kitui Resident Magistrate Rose Ombata, Kyale said that he had decided to forgive the two defendants owing to his devotion to Christianity that upholds forgiveness.
Be it as it may, the Magistrate told the complainant to handle the matter with caution as it would not be heard in the court again once the case is dropped.
Accused persons reportedly committed the offence at Tanathi boardroom in Kitui town on February 23, 2015 when the complainant was the governor’s political advisor.
