Former Transport CS Michael Kamau has been acquitted by the Court of Appeal.
Kamau was facing a Sh33 million fraud case.
The court ruled that the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) was improperly constituted when it handled his case.
Kamau was facing charges of bypassing procurement procedures on the management of public funds.
The case was in relation to a tender over the design of the Kamukuywa-Kaptama-Kapsokwony-Sirisia Road that had been worked on by Engiconsult Consulting Engineers Ltd at a cost of Sh33 million.
Kamau has been trying to stop this case on several occasions, arguing that all evidence used against him was put together by an illegal body.
