Former Labour Cabinet Secretary, Kazungu Kambi has been appointed the chairperson of the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NGCDF).
The former CS missed a spot in the Cabinet carried out last year by President Uhuru Kenyatta after being implicated in corruption.
Kambi was then suspended after the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) gave the go ahead.
Kambi had been linked to partaking in graft at the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) and was, thus, replaced by Phyllis Kandie.
This was a blow to the CS who had just a few weeks ago been quoted stating that he would not put up with corruption.
Kambi is set to take office as soon as the National Assembly approves of this.
