Speaking to journalists in Malindi Town on Saturday, Kambi said that his lawyers will be moving to the court of appeal next week to contest the High court ruling.

The former Labour CS, who unsuccessfully contested for the Kilifi governor seat in last year's polls, said that he was not satisfied with the High court ruling.

Kambi claimed that the High court disregarded some of the key evidence he had presented challenging Kingi's re-election.

"I have instructed my lawyers to move with speed and file an appeal because the High court ruling was biased, " he said.

Kambi alleged that governor Kingi's re-election did not reflect the wish and the will of the Kilifi people.

He maintained that Kingi's re-election was marred by irregularities and illegalities, stating that the court ought to have nullified it.

Kambi said that he will not lose hope in fighting for justice, adding that Kilifi people are tired of Kingi's alleged empty leadership.

Kambi, who contested for the seat on Kadu Asili party, urged his supporters to remain firm and patient assuring them that the court of appeal will overturn the High court ruling.

On Wednesday, Malindi High court Judge Weldon Korir dismissed Kambi's petition against the re-election of Governor Kingi.

The Judge termed Kambi's petition weak, ruling that Governor Kingi was validly re-elected.

The court slapped Kambi with Sh4 Million fine as the cost for the petition.Kazungu Kambi to appeal High court ruling on Governor Kingi's win next week
