The development will now make it easy to read the book for those who were earlier not conversant with either English or Kiswahili.

Omar Al Bashir, a former student of Islamic University of Cairo has been translating the holy book for the last three years.

It took him patience and persistence as it translates word to word.

"I took my time to translate the holy book so as to benefit locals who do not understand Arabic," said Bashir, formerly known as Kennedy Otieno.

After being approved by the Supreme Council of Kenya Muslims (SUPKEM) the book will be available in bookshops for sale.
