ODM nominated Senator Joy Gwendo has been sued by a former secretary over claims of assault.
Annette Oyuga requested the court on Tuesday that Gwendo be arrested and prosecuted for the assault act she allegedly committed on March 15 this year.
Ms Oyuga argued in her court papers filed at Milimani law courts that she had reported the matter at the KICC Police Station but there had been no action taken.
Through her lawyer Alice Oeri, Oyuga asked the court to institute a private criminal prosecution against the senator who has reportedly continued to intimidate her over the issue.
"My client reported the assault to Kayole police station and later went for treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital," Oeri said.
"I want Gwendo to be summoned to court since no action has been taken five months down the line," added Oeri.
