Former Fafi MP Aden Sugow has issued a statement that can be interpreted as a personal attack aimed at the incumbent Garissa Senator Yussuf Haji.
Speaking at Garissa Town on Monday, Aden Sugow said county residents want a stronger representation at the Senate, that can closely monitor how the county government spends their billions.
The immediate former Fafi MP further issued that a stronger Senate role and decentralisation of services up to the ward level is what Garissa residents need.
He said the current county administration lacked direction due to insufficient support and poor guidance from the Senate side.
“We have to ensure that we get an effective oversight to keep track of all resource coming to this county are channeled to the electorate who deserve it,” Sugow said.
He added that a well-structured senate could avert the perennial crisis in the county where the resources are centralised at Garissa town.
