It is alleged that the pair withdrew about Sh2.5 million.

Current FKF President Nick Mwendwa confirmed the allegations during the interview with a local television channel.

“Nyamweya and Agolla went forth to withdraw the cash despite the federation having written to the bank to have the account closed. We are not privy to how they went about it as they had ceased to be signatories then or what they had in mind. He has admitted to it but as a federation, we cannot accept to that, to us it's outright 'fraud',” said Nyamweya.

Mwendwa who took over from Nyamweya a year ago said that the issue was already with the authorities.

“We have taken the matter with the police. We want them to be held accountable over the action,” Mwendwa added.
