Wiper Party deputy leader Farah Maalim has distanced himself from NASA leader Raila Odinga's planned swearing-in slated for December 12, 2017.According to Maalim, he is not part of the team planning for Raila to be sworn-in as president.The former National Assembly Deputy Speaker says that the planned swearing-in will create trouble for the former Prime Minister."As far as I know there is no legal backing on which Raila can be sworn-in as president," he said during an interview on NTV's AM LIVE show on Monday morning.Maalim further clarified that he is not engaged in preparing for Raila's oath as it has been reported in some sections of the media.The former deputy speaker who unsuccessfully contested for the Garissa Township seat in the August 8 general election, however, said that his stand on Raila's planned swearing-in does not reflect that of the Kalonzo Musyoka led Wiper PartyRaila's swearing-in is set for December 12, 2017, is said to be on top gear.The ODM leader maintains that he does not recognize Uhuru Kenyatta as president and that he will be sworn-in by the people's assembly.It is not clear whether Raila will be sworn-in alongside his deputy Kalonzo Musyoka who is in Germany attending to his ailing wife.On Saturday, Wiper organizing secretary, Robert Mbui, in an interview with a local daily said that the party will make an official statement in regards to Raila's swearing-in this week.Meanwhile, fear is said to have gripped NASA top leaders planning for Raila's swearing after economist David Ndii who chairs the committee in charge of the people's assembly was arrested by police on Sunday night in Diani.
