Former Gor Mahia striker and Harambee Stars player Peter Dawo is pleading for financial help from well wishers.
Dawo has been ailing for some time and needs to undertake a knee surgery that will cost close to Sh500,000.
According to the Standard, the legendary player has raised only Sh220,000 for the operation and is appealing to people of good will to donate to him through the paybill number 891300.
“I am appealing to well-wishers to help me. I require to undergo this surgery. I picked up an injury while playing for Gor Mahia and the national team over 16 years ago," he said.
“I have been experiencing immense pain in my left knee. I cannot work and I walk with difficulty. This situation has really affected my normal life,” Dawo added.
In his heyday, Dawo scored 177 goals with 100 coming through his ferocious header.
