Police are probing the politicians to determine whether his claims are substantial or not.

The investigations come after a voter moved to court to sue the former county boss for allegedly forging his academic documents to get into politics.

The petition wants the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to probe the politicians with immediate effect.

Jama, who say was born on January 1, 1969, allegedly graduated from University of Karachi, in Pakistani with Bachelor of Commerce in 1984 when he was aged 15 years.

The petitioner, Mr Mohamed Ibrahim, through Githinji Mwangi and Associates Advocates, wants the Director of Public Prosecutions to investigate the lawmaker with immediate effect to determine whether his claims can be validated.

This is after Commission for University Education said that they recognized the authenticity of the degree Jama presented before he was cleared to contest for the post.

“The aspirant having been born in 1969 would not have possibly completed his degree certificate in 1984 as he was only 15 years,” says the letter.
