The outspoken Algerian tactician is not afraid of controversy, as he has recently claimed the new FKF management do not want him back.

Amrouche has also claimed that FKF offered him a job as a technical director, but he turned down, stating he only want to be the couch.

In a series of tweets, Amrouche is quoted responding to claims made by the Chief Executive Officer Robert Muthomi, stated, the coach did not seem keen for a second chance at the helm.

The Algerian tactician responded, “Big lies, I have always wanted to be back but FKF don’t want”.

He added that he will consider withdrawing a case of wrongful dismissal that he filed against the Kenyan federation (FKF) at FIFA if he will be allowed to take back the job as the coach.

Amrouche stayed at the helm of the national team for 18 months and was later sacked after a 1-0 loss to Lesotho in the 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Currently, FKF is looking for a new couch to take charge at the national team after Paul put resigned at the helm citing personal reasons.
