The court similarly froze the bank accounts of IEBC former commissioner Thomas Letangule and Antony Oluoch until the case filed by the former Telkom employees is heard and determined.

Mr Letangule had urged Justice Grace Nzioka to strike out the case but the court declined.

In the documents presented to court, Mr Letang’ule allegedly received Sh1.3 billion while Mr Oluoch received Sh500 million.

Telkom had agreed in a consent documented before the Employment and Labour Relations Court to give its former workers their dues and the lawyers’ fees were set to be Sh30 million and Sh20 million for Mr Letangule and Mr Oluoch respectively.

Another Sh150 million was to go to the Kenya Revenue Authority as tax.

However, the workers now claim they did not receive all their dues in the consent and that lesser amounts were deposited into their bank accounts.

Justice Nzioka referred the case to the labour court.
