Garissa Governor Ali Korane on Wednesday named seven members to join his County Executive Committee (CEC). 

The county boss named Former journalist Adow Jubat among the members to take roles in his government as he looks forward to transforming the lives of the residents in the next five years.

Mr. Jubat, who has been nominated as the head the Trade, Enterprise Development and Tourism department, once worked for Standard, northeastern region. 

Speaking to the press, the county boss said that he has forwarded the names of the nominees to the speaker. He also said that the names are waiting vetting and approval from the members of the county assembly (MCA) before he can start working on his agenda. 

The governor said he had considered various things including diversity of county, skills, origin, experience and constitutional requirements among others. 

The county boss also nominated Mr Roble Said Nuno (Finance and Economic Planning), Ms Zeinab Abdi Digale (Gender, Social Services and Sports)  and Mr Habon Aden Maalim (Environment, Energy and Natural Resources). 

It has also been revealed that county boss has nominated Mr Mohamed Abdi Shale (Lands, Housing and Urban Development), Mr Abdi Omar Farah (Roads, Transport and Public Works) and Mr Ahmednathir Omar Sheikh(Health and Sanitation Services).
