Former Standard Group editor Enoch Wambua has been declared winner of the Wiper Senatorial ticket in Kitui ahead of the August General polls, reports Nairobinews.
According to the local daily, Wambua is among three journalists from different parts of the nation who stand high chances of being elected in the upcoming general polls after they won tickets during party nominations.
Wambua is seeking to replace David Malombe, who was defeated by incumbent Governor Dr. Julius Malombe amid claims that he was rigged out of the polls. The Senator has faulted Wiper Party top brass for the loss he suffered at the nominations.
Wambua has insisted that he is the best candidate to replace Senator Musila after the next general polls. The soon-to-be senator has expressed towards his supporters for making his dream come true.
Other journalists who won include former Ramogi Radio presenter Ben Oluoch Okello(ODM Senator Migori) and former Kameme FM presenter Gathoni Wa Muchomba(woman representative in Kiambu).
