Cord leader Raila Odinga has been assured of the Maasai support during the August general election.
Speaking over the weekend during a NASA rally in Narok over the weekend, Narok North MP Moitalel ole Kenta, said that the Maasai community will rally behind Odinga.
Kenta was speaking when he was officially received by Odinga in ODM. The lawmaker defected from Jubilee.
“We are gathered here today to let our people, and the country at large, know that our political destiny is in our own hands and shall from now henceforth not be decided by forces outside of this community,’ said Mr Kenta.
According to Kenta, the community will support Odinga because he is fighting for the marginalized communities.
Odinga was accompanied by Kajiado Governor David Nkedianye, Kajiado Central MP Memusi Kanchori, Mbalambala MP Abdikadir Aden, Kanu secretary-general Nick Salat and Narok governorship aspirant Tiampati Musuni.
