Former Chief Registrar of the Judiciary, Gladys Boss Shollei, has secured Jubilee’s ticket for Uasin Gishu women representative seat.
Shollei garnered 81,076 votes beating her closest challenger Rael Chebichi, who got 24,483 votes in the just concluded Jubilee party primaries.
She expressed her joy after being declared the winner and thanked all those who voted for her.
“I’m overjoyed that Uasin Gishu people have voted overwhelmingly for me,” she said.
If elected in the August 8 polls, Shollei has promised to work with other leaders to ensure the rights of women, children and less fortunate in society are upheld.
Incumbent Uasin Gishu woman representative Eusila Ngeny vied for the Soy MP seat but failed to clinch the ticket.
