Tana River Governor Hussein Dado has launched a scathing attack at the National Super Alliance (NASA) after it named ODM leader Raila Odinga as its flag bearer.Speaking during a meeting at Oda in Garsen Constituency on Tuesday, Dado said the opposition has nothing new to offer to the electorate.Dado said Raila who unsuccessfully vied for Presidency in 1997, 2007 and 2013, stands no chance to rise to power in August. The legislator questioned why the alliance had taken so long only to name Raila as their candidate."After the many retreats in hotels, we expected to see a foreigner," he said."There was nothing new they offered by making Raila (ODM) the flag bearer,” he added. The governor's sentiments come at a time when leaders from Ukambani and Luhya land continue to express mixed reactions over the NASA lineup.Dado also questioned Kalonzo’s leadership skills saying he had failed to tame Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua."He lost [Machakos] Governor Alfred Mutua - now Maendeleo Chap Chap leader - and seven MPs," he said.Dado further said that he was sure that Kalonzo would not have been named the NASA flag bearer. "I could not stay in such a house because there is no day Kalonzo will be the flag bearer," he added.
