Experienced politician and trained doctor Elneo Nyakiba has challenged voters to elect leaders with impressive developmental records when the country heads to the ballots next year.
Speaking to journalists from the region in Nyamira, Dr.Nyakiba has urged voters to keenly scrutinise records of development of various political competitors before voting them.
"I ask all eligible voters to first size up and analyze past progress records of leaders they are inspirited to vote in,” he said.
"They should not vote depending on political parties or clanism. The trend of electing leaders on their political parties is something to refrain from," added Nyakiba.
The former KANU treasurer has also revealed his interest in contending for the Nyamira gubernatorial seat in the forthcoming general elections.
"I also ask Nyamira people to largely vote me to be their governor in the coming elections despite my defeat in the last elections,” said Nyakiba.
