Speaking on Tuesday at Nyambaria during a fundraising for the construction of Riamoni Central SDA Church in Kitutu Masaba Constituency, Nyambati hit out at politicians opposed to harambee saying they are incognisant of the benefits of such initiatives to the community.

“Those who oppose to fundraising do not know the benefit of such initiatives. This is one way through which we can support the community,” he said.

The former MP donated Ksh500,000 to go towards the construction of the church which had stalled due to lack of funds.

The MP also vowed to oversee the construction of the Church saying he will invite a prominent leader to the official opening ceremony.

“I am going to oversee the construction and invite a prominent leader to join in the official opening of the Church,” he said.

The one-term legislator asked the CDF committee to help institutions and Churches by funding their construction.

“The reason why we have CDF is not just supporting education through bursary allocations but also support Churches and schools in terms of infrastructure,” he said.

H also expressed his gratitude to President Kenyatta for appointing him to chair of the Jomo Kenyatta Foundation.
