Christians and churches have been advised to play a key role in supporting education as one way of nurturing visionary leaders who can transform the nation.
According to former Kisii Town mayor Samuel Nyangeso, it is only through empowering the youths through education, that theycan be in a better position to transform the country.
Addressing faithful on Sunday at Gekano Parish during a fundraiser of ‘Baba na Mama’ Catholic, Nyangeso challenged Christians and churches not to despair in supporting education.
“Today we have come here for a fundraiser and most of the people who have sent their contributions are your own sons whom were supported through education, hence we advocate for Christians and churches to continue supporting education,” he noted.
The former chairman of Kenya National Libraries Services gave a personal contribution of Sh250,000 and vowed to continue supporting Churches as the politicians have been barred from harambees until after the 2017elections.
