[Photo/Facebook/Tusker]Former Kenya Premier League (KPL) Champions Tusker FC have joined a growing list of Kenyan teams that will play friendly matches against visiting Uganda Premier League side Kampala City Council Authority – KCCA FC. “Tusker FC will be playing Uganda premier league side KCCA FC in an international friendly match on January 22nd at the Ruaraka stadium,” the Club announced on Friday via its official Facebook page - Official Tusker FC.The 11 times KPL champions will use the match to prepare for this year’s KPL season set to kick off next month.The brewers under Ugandan coach Sam Timbe have already played three build-up matches against Donholm Seniors where they won 8-2, Nairobi Stima where they managed a 4-1 victory and thumped Zimmerman Youth 6-0.Apart from playing against Tusker FC, KCCA FC will play against Gor Mahia on Saturday at the Afraha Stadium Nakuru, before playing AFC Leopards on Wednesday next week at the Kenyatta Stadium Machakos. The team will then play Sofapaka on Friday at the Narok County Stadium.“KCCA is a strong team and they have a big profile in this region. To play them in pre-season is an important part of our preparations and from it and more plans we have in the coming few days I hope we can head to the new season very fit,” Sofapaka head coach Sam Ssimbwa said ahead of his team’s match against KCCA.
