Former Limuru MP George Nyanja says he has reached his end politically and he will henceforth only act as an advisor of the electorate.
Speaking at Limuru, Nyanja said that after personal reflection, he arrived at the conclusion that he was satisfied politically and would in the years to come put his energy into business and advising the voters on whom to elect.
"I am satisfied with the politics I played, and I am now a businessman. Please, do not ask me to vie for this or the other position. No. That time is now in the past," said Nyanja.
Nyanja was MP for Limuru for two terms. He also vied for the senator’s seat during the last elections but lost to Kiambu senator Kimani Wamatangi. He is nicknamed General Kaiyaba because of his fearless nature towards other politicians and issues, confrontational characteristic, huge physique, loud and commanding voice.
"Come 2017, I will be on the side of the electorate and not on the ballot. I will advise the voters on whom to elect and whom not to depending on their leadership skills," said Nyanja.
He criticised the election of a suit by the residents of Kiambu, where they cast their votes for The National Alliance (TNA) nominees starting with the President all the way to member of county assembly, despite their leadership skills' lack.
"You are stuck with the leaders you cast votes for. I know that next time you will not elect a suit because you have seen the damage the current leadership has caused you," said Nyanja.
