Former LSK chair Okong'o Omogeni has defended Education Cabinet secretary Fred  Matiang'i' s move to curb examination irregularities in the country.

In a live morning show interview on Minto FM, Omogeni said whatever measures put in place by Matiang'i are intended to curb cheating in exams.

"Whoever from whatever sector wants Matiang'i to resign because of unrest in schools is terribly wrong. Let's stop fighting people who have all it takes to streamline our education sector," said Omogeni. 

He further urged all people of good will to visits schools and help counsel students. 

"I think it is high time now that we start campaigns against the unrest we are experiencing in our schools and I urge all people of good will to spearhead this move," added Omogeni.
