Former MCAs have vowed to challenge a court of Appeal ruling that denied them Sh8 billion claim.
The ex-Nakuru assembly legal affairs committee chairman Wahome Kamoche and other leaders are largely drawn from Nakuru and Nyandarua counties said the court misinterpreted the law.
"The Constitution is very clear on when our term was to begin and end. We took 60-month loans to be serviced using our pay and the salaries and remuneration commission is aware of that since it introduced us to the bank. Our rights will not be violated by some individuals who are not following the law properly," said Kamoche.
Kamoche added that their pay should be given out until their term expires.
"We are not in office since the elections came before completion of our term. We deserve payment for the months left. The money we are being denied is already accounted for in the budget", he said.
He called on MCAs from other counties who didn't win in the August 8 general election to team up and fight for their pay.
