Recently, a group of residents from Nyakegogi region also accused the veteran politician of allocating Sh5 million to a nonexistent Nyakegogi Dispensary, which was indicated as a done project in his annual returns.

On Monday, Nyamachemange residents led by Alius Obwogo questioned the credibility of the former legislator over the allocation of Sh4.5 million to Nyamachemange Secondary school which does not exist in the ministry of education records.

“We like being honest because we feel that Nyambati isn’t a right person to Nyamira. He allocated Sh4.5 million to Nyamachemange secondary during his tenure (2007-13) which doesn’t exist at all,” Obwoge said.

“Some of us were born in this village and have never seen such a school in our lives not even at the ministry of education records. It’s amazing that it was at one time indicated as a beneficiary of CDF funds yet it’s a ghost institution,” he added calling for probe into the project.

However, Nyambati’s Personal Assistant Nick Kibeni recently disputed the allegations terming them ‘factious’ and argued it was a typing error and not a fraudulent scheme as propagated by people.

“I think people are not being honest. It was a typing error because we intended to award the money to primary school and not the secondary school as indicated. We gave the cheque to primary school and errors normally happen when using machines. There was no money lost and this is just politics,” he said.
