(nation.co.ke)Former Lagdera MP Farah Maalim has called for the observation of social justice and respect for the rule of law if the country is to break free from talks of secession.Speaking during an interview with NTV on Monday, the former National Assembly deputy speaker revealed that large sections in this country either felt unwanted or completely excluded in the affairs of the country making them advance plans to break away."There has to be a powerful social justice in this country, otherwise , talks of secession will go on.You just cannot wish it away," he said.Lately, calls for secessions of the country have hit fever pitch with a number leaders allied to the opposition coalition Nasa openly drumming support for it.For instance, Mombasa governor Hassan Joho and his Kilifi counterpart Amason Jeffa Kingi have been on record calling for the coastal region to break away from the mainland Kenya, while Homabay Town MP Opondo Kaluma has drafted a bill which proposes how the country should be divided.
