Nguyai, who lost his seat to the late George Muchai in the Kabete seat in 2013 has declared his desire to represent Kikuyu residents in Parliament.

Speaking during a women fund raiser at PCEA Zambezi on Wednesday where women groups were raising money to build two classrooms in a disabled school in Thogoto, Nguyai said that the people of Kikuyu needed someone who would represent them and not one who is busy with national politics.

The former MP who testified in ICC for president Kenyatta said that the current MP Kimani Ichung’wa has put much of his concentration on national politics and not what the people of Kikuyu voted him to do.

‘’I have considered the will of the people and come 2017 I will be eyeing the seat of Kikuyu. I want to urge Kikuyu residents to be very brave and vote for leaders who have brought change to them not those who have been busy engaging in national politics,’’ said Nguyai.

He revealed that he was ready for the task to develop Kikuyu and not to be busy engaging in politics that do not help the people who voted for him.

He criticized Kiambu Governor William Kabogo over his recent remarks stating that it was wrong for him to make such remarks.

‘’The likes of Waititu and Kuria have brought shame to Kiambu over hate speech. They are always on the media for the wrong reasons and not what they were voted in for, vote wisely come 2017,’’ said Nguyai.

The Kikuyu parliamentary seat aspirant donated Sh100,000 to the project.
