Former Naivasha MP Jayne Kihara has said she is no longer a member of Narc Kenya party.
Speaking in Gilgil town, the former legislator said she quit the party after realizing it was not popular.
“I am no longer in Narc Kenya so those going around with rumours that am in the party should get their facts right. I left the party long time ago after realizing it was unpopular,” she said.
Kihara said that she had suffered a lot by supporting Narc Kenya adding that the experience has made her support Jubilee party and will run for Naivasha MP.
At the same time, Kihara called on women to rise to the occasion and vie for elective posts.
“I want to appeal to my fellow women to wake up and go for elective seats, let us not just wait for nominations as this portray us as being inferior," She said.
Further, she said that it was only be doing so that the one third gender principle can be realized considering that the one third gender bill failed to sail through the national assembly.
