Former Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambu has hit out at Siaya senator James Orengo and former Machakos senator Johnson Muthama over their alleged remark that they will swear in Raila Odinga if IEBC declares President Uhuru Kenyatta winner of the October 26 presidential repeat poll.

Mutambu says that Muthama and Orengo’s remarks are out of order adding that it could spark more tension in the country.

Speaking to journalists in Mwingi Town on Sunday, Mutambu said that Orengo and Muthama should be investigate and forced to retract their alleged remark.

He said that that opposition leaders are desperate and want to scare Kenyans.

“We cannot be held hostage by opposition leaders who only want to get to power through backdoor,” he said on Sunday.

The former MP asked the opposition to accept the fact that President Uhuru Kenyatta has won the October 26 repeat presidential election.

The former Kalonzo Musyoka ally also laughed off NASA’s transformation into a National Resistance Movement (NRM) saying that the move indicates the fall of Odinga's dynasty.

Mutambu said that Kenyans will never subscribe to the oppositions resistance movement.

The former MP urged Kenyans to remain peaceful saying that the country will move on once President Kenyatta is declared winner of the October 26 report presidential election.

There are alleged claims that the opposition could be planning to swear in Raila Odinga.

On Saturday during  a rally in Mavoko, Machakos, Orengo and Muthama said that the opposition will not recognize Uhuru's government if he is declared winner of the repeat poll and  sworn into office.

The IEBC is expected to declare President Uhuru Kenyatta as the winner of the repeat poll.

The opposition has already questioned Uhuru’s numbers in the repeat poll terming the whole exercise a sham.
